Experience

Jack Kerber has served a broad range of nonprofit organizations in his 40+ year professional career, including the planning and management of capital campaigns and feasibility studies for many youth, cultural, education, health and social service organizations. He is highly regarded for his ability to develop a creative approach to building planned and annual gift programs, grant writing, membership development, and endowment programs. Mr. Kerber was the Director of Civic Affairs & Development for The Muny in St. Louis for over ten years before joining the national fund raising consulting firm of Skystone Ryan, Inc. where he served as Managing Partner of the St. Louis office for thirteen years.

Mr. Kerber is a frequent speaker and instructor in development seminars, with a strong background in corporate strategies, board development, and marketing for nonprofit organizations. Jack served on the Board of the Nonprofit Management and Leadership Institute and has served as Adjunct Faculty to the University of Missouri - St. Louis for 15 years, where he taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in fundraising and philanthropy.

His ability to assist organizations in creating effective strategic plans and successful implementation strategies has guided dozens of organizations to achieve their fundraising objectives. He is past president of the St. Louis chapter of NSFRE (now AFP), and in 1996 was recognized as the “Outstanding Fund Raising Executive” for the region.

Mr. Kerber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
